Kang’s Taekwondo Academy has been legally transferred to the original owner and founder Great Grandmaster Kang and Mrs. Kang as of August 1, 2016. Kang’s Taekwondo Academy operations will be managed by General Manager Grandmaster J. Adamowski and Headquarters Manager Master B. Tam.
Founded by Great Grand Master Joo Won Kang in 1976, Kang’s Academy celebrates its 40th year in Canada.
Great Grand Master Kang is one of the founding members, as well as being one of the instructors that were instrumental in forming the WTF Taekwondo Association of Canada.
Kang’s Taekwondo Academy hosted the first official Canadian National Taekwondo Championships in 1979 and again in 1993, hosted the 15th official Canadian National Taekwondo Championships in Winnipeg.
Kang’s Taekwondo Academy is one of only a few taekwondo schools in Canada today that offers the most comprehensive, holistic and traditional taekwondo systems of training that have been passed on from one generation to the next.
